How I Work
I am currently available for work. A detailed description of my workflow and terms is available in English and German, but here’s a summary:
- After gathering job details, I send a cost estimate.
- If the client agrees, I issue an invoice for 20% of the total estimate, which must be paid before I begin work.
- I work in phases: doodle → clean sketch → final artwork. Each phase must be approved by the client.
- Once the sketch phase is approved, major changes (e.g., new character, completely new background) will be billed separately at the hourly rate.
- I am known for being highly reliable, fast, and communicative. To date, I have met every project deadline without exception.
Book Illustration
I have experience illustrating chapter books and non-fiction books for older children. See examples in my Clients Section.
- Publishers: Feel free to contact me via email at art@annamariajung.com.
- Private Authors: If you have a manuscript, I recommend securing a publisher before hiring an illustrator. However, you’re welcome to reach out to discuss sample illustrations for your book pitch, which I can create at my standard rate.
Commercial Commissions
- I have created posters, book and CD covers, comics, characters for advertising, and more. If you’re interested in working together, please email me with your request at art@annamariajung.com.
- I am currently developing a client questionnaire to streamline the process and ensure I have all the necessary details to provide you with an accurate quote. In the meantime, feel free to reach out with any questions!
Private Commissions
I have completed various custom illustrations, including:
- Portraits
- Fantasy/RPG/LARP character portraits
- Pet portraits
- Fully original digital and traditional artwork
To make the process smoother, I use an order form for commission requests. If you’re interested, please email me at art@annamariajung.com with a short description of your idea, and I’ll send you the link to the order form.
Pricing
I want to be transparent about my pricing so you know what to expect:
- Hourly Rate: €105 (gross for net)
- Commercial Projects: Usage rights fees apply, depending on the type of rights you require.
- Private Commissions (e.g., gifts): Charged only at the hourly rate, with no additional fees.
Examples
- To give you a feeling about how long it takes me to create art, here are a few examples:
From left to right: “Dragon Bard” was a single-character commission with a simple background and took me about 2.5 hours. “Wedding Portrait” was a couple’s commission and took approximately 4 hours
